I'm an IT engineer who when not working writes fiction (generally genre and I have two self-published books) as well as an NFL Blog, which also has a podcast in season.
I like to keep fit by running and lifting weights and I also play the drums. I am in a band that is somewhat curtailed at the moment with Covid-19 restrictions, although we are working on some recording.
I got interested in Valorant watching Matt Heafy stream on Twitch, and I have played around in Deathmatch but I don't fancy solo matches and am looking for a good group of people tolerant of an FPS newbie to learn with. A long time ago I did play a fair bit of Eve online and was part of a corp in a leadership position so I have some experience with being in an online gaming group but not for a while.
I like that Seismic is a clan for over 18 casual players as I want to get better and learn, but at 41 I'm looking for the kind of chilled atmosphere you describe yourself as. I can be a little socially awkard in new situations but once I am used to them I'm pretty outgoing. I think that as someone who has learnt the drums and written books that I know how to be okay with being bad as I learn something new, but I am also pretty competitive so if I am a fit I would like to think I can contribute in some way. I'm also a team player so if that is in a supporting role with healing etc that would be fine with me.
I look forward to finding out if I am fit with you or not.
Cheers
