Division Overwatch

This is a semi-competitive 1v1 tournament using randomization of heroes (mirrored) as well as a winner-stays-on format with randomized order of play. Try your hardest but feel free to meme/bm on your opponent! It's all in good fun.

The winner of this tournament will be crowned the 1v1 king or queen of SGDX, get dummy thicc bragging rights, and earn THE RIGHT TO NAME A SPECIAL VOICE CHANNEL... until dethroned at a subsequent 1v1 tourney. In the event that the king/queen gets hustled in the neutral at the next tournament or that they are a no-show, the new champion will be crowned king/queen and be given all the powers of their predecessor (new choice of vc name will replace the last winner’s choice). Channel name is subject to SGDX staff approval (keep it clean). Inside jokes, sort-by-new type memes, or obscure references are highly recommended.

If the king/queen chooses to participate in the next tourney, they will automatically by given the first position in order of play so that they may defend their crown from all who might contest it!

Within 24hrs of the event’s start time I will write down the attendees' names in alphabetical order and use a random number generator to assign everyone numbers from 1 to n (n = number of ppl who signed up). These numbers will be the order of play for the day’s tourney, in ascending order. If anybody arrives late or would like to join last-minute, they will be added to the end of the order of play.

This tournament will be single elimination, winner-stays-on format. Everyone is encouraged to spectate and join the voice channel for maximum hype and friendly bm. Those spectating should feel free to record clips of any funny or impressive moments, and upload them to our #highlights channel! The format and settings/ruleset of this recurring event will evolve based on your feedback, so don’t be afraid to DM me with your thoughts on what is good/fun and what is not (and why you feel that way).

Which server region is played on will be determined by the number of people within the voice channel who are native to a region. In the event of a tie, the event host will pick (however they want). Over the course of the event, if the majority happens to change, the new majority can request a server swap.
