I've been playing video games for over 20 years. Growing up in my teenage years I belonged to a couple of gaming organisations (clans) such as this (though no where near as large!) and they formed a huge part of my childhood. Over years I formed great friendships with the people I played daily with, to the extent we would meet up in person each year.
Once I started "real life", and got a job, 12 years later and I haven't had that same experience, the team / group of players I can play with regularly, and get to know and form friendships with through a shared passion.
I'm now 31, with a wife, a dog, based in Manchester, UK, I run my own Web Development business. Life is busy, but when I get to play I want to play with people I know. I always enjoy contributing to groups I belong to, finding where I can add value. Running my own business and being a web developer + software programmer enables me to have a variety of peripheral skills that could add value to an organisation such as Seismic Gaming.
One of my primary reasons for wanting to join is I'm tired of playing with random players each night, I'd prefer to be part of a group like this that enables me to play with a familiar group of people either fun/casual, just having a laugh and some fun, or at times on a more competitive level.
