Hi folks.
I'm Tornike from Georgia (the country not the state), I'm 21 and have been playing videogames for most of my life (since I got a ps2 back in 2003).
I'm relatively inexperienced in siege, I have under 300 hours and only started playing ranked a few weeks ago (when I came back from a nearly 2 year-long break). I managed to calibrate at gold 2 and stay there even tho my K/D is an abysmally low 0.6, I find ways to contribute to the teams, by always picking what we need, making good callouts, creating a chill environment and calling good shots that people tend to listen to because I am positive from the get-go)
Even tho I'm not experienced in siege, I am by no means new to team games, I have logged about 10k hours in total in MOBAs and was playing in a top 5 European team in Smite, so I'm very good with communication and building up team morale. I've always been getting compliments on my effect on team morale whether we are winning or losing, both in Smite and Dota (I guess this is in large part due to me being an empath, as I can "foresee" the emotional effect my words will have, and can better judge what to say and what not to)
I pride myself on being a very chill player. In about 8-10 years of playing rage-inducing games, such as MOBAs and competitive fps games at a relatively high level, I have never gotten mad at someone to the point of talking trash to them about the way they play. The only time I get mad at people is when they actively try to be negative to their teammates, especially ones that don't answer back, those are basically the only guys I generally lash out on
I've been trying to find some people to play with since I find that I will improve a lot slower in solo que, however, I find that a lot of people get annoyed when they see that I don't know too many callouts on most maps so I try to stay away from the official r6 discord LFG (let alone the fact that for some reason that place seems to be a magnet for mentally unstable people). Some people recommended your community saying it was very chill and welcoming to beginners, and seeing the time and effort that you've clearly put in the structure of the community my hopes are high.
As for my life outside of siege, I work a job doing digital marketing for most of my weekdays, and in the mornings I train Brasilian Jiu Jitsu, which I'm rather obsessed with. I do however play Siege in the evenings of weekdays for about 2-5 hours (sometimes more if I feel like completely screwing up my sleep schedule when I'm 1 game away from gold 1, and finally giving up when I hit gold 3 instead :D) I also play quite a lot on weekends, barring when I go out with friends or on hiking trips or something.
Well, even though you specifically said that you didn't want a 1000 word essay, it seems like you got one anyway :D. I hope you find me a good fit for your community and hope to hear back from you soon!
